Sublimation printing is a technology of transferring a full-color image of photographic quality from special paper onto the synthetic fabric of a T-shirt using high temperatures (190–200 °C). The image is printed with sublimation inks on transfer paper, after which, under the influence of a heat press, the ink transitions into a gaseous state and penetrates the fabric fibers, becoming part of them.
This is why sublimation on synthetic T-shirts produces a result that no other method can match: the print cannot be felt to the touch, does not crack, does not fade after washing, and withstands more than 50 machine wash cycles.
